Bonded warehouse where we bought the Toyota Hilux Please pray for:
+ Less rain otherwise travel to Yei from Kajo Kaji may be extremely difficult if not impossible
+ John Sebit’s safe return with correct documentation from Juba
+ the Safe Harbor Church family at Limi who would need access to clean water.
Kampala & to South Sudan
I can’t believe it’s 2-weeks since I did an update, so here goes... After my touristy day I researched what was on my shopping list and after pondering & praying I got stuck into some serious shopping - why does everything exceed my budget by up yo 50%? What do I cut back on? Oh did I say Magnum arrived from Kenya with a somewhat special friend called Danica. She soon got used to e calling her Candice or Danielle and a dozen other names before my brain clicked into 2011 gear.
Hmm - car, solar electric system, laser printer, scanner, gas hob, gas regulators & hoses, tools & toolbox, tarp for the pick-up. I must say Magnum did better than me at good price buying; perhaps because we hadn’t budgeted for his purchases! Picked up the books that Irina had ordered and refused to leave the shop until I got a discount; well that was one thing below budget for Iris account. Car serviced, new brakes, every oil you can think of, belts of all descriptions. Not sure why the nearside rear wheel decided to race in front of the car as Magnum approached the border? We hadn’t budgeted for more expense; good job labour is cheap by our standards. We hadn’t quite got the import papers correct, so Iris pastor John Sebit had a days rest on Saturday and set off for Juba Sunday, hope to see him back tomorrow so we can retrieve the car from the Border compound. With al the delays Magnum & Danica did an about-turn & returned to Kampala for her flight to USA.
Hope for the Future were on hand to help me praise God of which more to follow in my next blog or perhaps photo album.
And somewhere through all of this we met with our awesome leader & friend Michele then Michele & Edward and Ronald who are doing great at their health training in Kampala International Hospital.
