Reckless Mission School week 1 (First posted Sunday, 7 August 2011

The first week of the school has been amazing with morning classes each day except Wednesday. Monday was two sessions on ‘Presence’; Tuesday was ‘A God of Relationship’ Thursday ‘Holy Spirit; and Friday ‘Baptism of Fire & Impartation’, but He had a slightly different agenda and the impartation started on the Thursday. By late morning I think all the students had decided to give up control and let the Holy Spirit take over. All fear and pride & associated control melted away and the sound of joy in the place had people looking in through the gates to see what was happening.

This reckless abandonment to receive the love of God was not confined to the classroom each afternoon split into two or three teams and went to one of the three areas of deprivation in which Revelation Life works each day. As we gave the love away to Mommas, babies and youngsters, we learnt to continue receiving the love that Daddy delights to pour down upon us. Simon Neal likened it to a hosepipe continually flowing into out from each one of us.

Three Mommas gave there life to Christ this week and we brought a baby who had been sick for a week back to the Wellspring clinic for treatment. A girl called Shariffa who needs brain surgery is to have the operation paid for by Revelation Life, so she will be taken to see the paediatrician at the International hospital tomorrow. The times that we play with the children and simply nursing them or just holding hands are a massive expression of Jesus’ love to them.

The team and students had a fun afternoon and BBQ at Simon & Nicola’s house yesterday - a wonderful time of relaxation

Please pray for:

  • Magnum as he spends a few days with a friend in Nairobi before coming to Kampala.
  • for Steve Lamb returning to the UK tomorrow after 7-weeks here with Revelation Life. Steve is a young man with a significant testimony and teaching ability.
