CCC girls centre opening, Juba (First posted Saturday, 24 September 2011)

Thank you Jesus for safe & relatively quick journeys to & from Juba.

Pray for our preparation and journeys again next week.

CONFIDENT CHILDREN OUT OF CONFLICT

Safari Emanuel and I left Yei early on Thursday 22nd September to do some teaching, some outreach with the Koromola Iris Harvest Church, Juba and to represent Iris Sudan at the opening of the new CCC girls centre on the Saturday.

The outreach had been postponed for a week due to school examinations, but we met with the leaders of Koromola & Da-Jebel Churches, which John Light had planted.

Cathy, her staff and volunteers and the girls of CCC worked marvels in ensuring a fun packed day of celebrations to open their new girls centre. Not many of the guests knew that Safari and I really opened the centre as we slept there for 2-nights, as the guest house was full. Our Hilux also came in useful transporting goodies from the present centre to the new one.

Safari received a standing ovation when he received the Certificate for Iris Ministries
