A few photos giving you a glimpse of what you mght expect if you choose to visit me and the boys here at our home 'the Oasis' in the Wellspring area of Bweyogerere, Wakiso District. Our home is about 12km from Kampala, a journey of anywhere between 20-minutes and nearly two hours by taxi (Matatatu). Taxis are 14 seater mini-buses that often load to 17 even though the traffic police are starting to clamp down on over-loading.
@RUCID Organic Agricultural College to see Safari Emmanuel (More pictures here) Justin & Charlotte arrived on Friday afternoon and Saturday was to be a relaxing day visiting Safari at college, but here in Uganda you have to be like the boy scouts -'Be Prepared' - Safari had arranged for each of us to preach to the Scripture Union group!
Sunday 15th September Justin & Charlotte preach at Great Hope Church, Kawanda. Kawanda is about 12km north of Kampala on the Bombo Road, otherwise known as the Gulu Highway. This is pastor Joseph's new Church plant in the market at Kawanda. Kawanda is also in Wakiso District, which wrpas all around the Kampala District. During Justin's preach there was a tropical downpour and the power was lost, so a new experience speaking without amplification with rain bounce down on the metal roof. Good performance Justin

Justin does some teaching to 19-year old Jimmy, who helps look after our compound. They are sitting on our front balcony. Jimmy had to give up school after Senior 3, because the family had no money to pay for more schooling. In the first picture Justin was trying to help Jimmy understand how cold it could be in England

Justin giving Jimmy a Bible; a gift from the Well Church, Lytham st Annes & Blackpool, England.
Justin preaching on Wednesday 18th September evening at Agape Church, Bweyogerere. Charlotte had an evening off to celebrate Becky's birthday. We also actually got to the party, but we couldn't plan on it being a certainty. The children are attempting to count the hairs on my head and arms. Yes, yes I know there are more hairs on my arms than head!

Becky's surprise birthday party at the Lawns restaurant. A very nice meal, but can't help thinking I could have fed me and the boys for a full day for the cost of one meal. OK I'm still a Yorkshire man exiled to Uganda via Lancashire.

It was really cold that is why I am wearing my coat.
Friday 21st September leave home about 0930 to go by taxi to Royal Hope Acedemy Primary School for Justin & Charlotte to preach at their weekly church service between 1100 and 1300ish

After a very nice surprise lunch at Royal Hope Academy we move on to our next engagement; a two-day seminar and Sunday preach for Justin & charlotte at Shalom Church, Bunamawaya, Kampala District. A taxi ride, then a Boda Boda and a walk as the torrential rain had made the hill too difficult for the motorcycles.

Tuesday 17th September Justin ventures out to buy some drinking water riding pillion on Boda Boda Godson.

Same day we go for lunch to Mama Bosco's restaurant. (It is juice in the whisky bottle - just saying!)

Main Street (Jinja Road) Bweogerere.
21st September Justin & Charlotte go for a walk from the house.

A visit for dinner to Adam & Melodys' home. A top floor apartment with superb views over the valley to wellspring.

Mettie-Ann visits our home.

Charlotte finds time to wash the clothes, African style.

Wednesday 25th back to Agape Church this time with Charlotte, as they were very disapointed when she didn't go the week before.

Out with Revelation Life in the Katoga 1 slum, Kinawatika; and Banda, which is a very large slum.

African lunch - Rolex on the one plate and beans and chapitas on the other.

Friday night from 5pm to after 9pm; well the Holy Spirit did cause some Holy chaos, when Justin led ministry after preaching!

Sorry, but charlotte censored some of the better photos!
