Serere Pentecostal Assemblies of God Churches, Eastern Uganda

This is my second visit to the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Churches in Serere District, Eastern Uganda. I took my Rewandan son Justin with me for the five days. We travelled there on the Wednesday, ministered Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday then treturned home on the Monday. We decided to catch the 8am bus from Kampala on the Jinja Road near our home at Bweyogerere. The local guys who organise the loading of taxis said that the bus had gone at 7am, which was probbaly true of the 6am bust from Kampala. Anyhow others were waiting, so we waited. After a short time a nice LandCruiser stopped and we accepted a lift with two others to Mbale, which is at the base of Mount Elgon. A nice comfortable ride with a good driver, so we blessed him with our bus fare - thank you Jesus. On arriving at Mbale one of the buses to Soroti was just about to pass the end of the road where we were waiting to turn, so our driver flagged down the bus for us. The road from Mbale to Soroti is very bad and we saw several vehicles slip off the road into deep ditches. We reached Soroti and got a taxi to Serere where we stayed in the same small guest house as I stayed last time.

ABOVE Justin teaching at the Central Church, Serere. Below people gathering at one of the bush Churches where I preached on the Friday. I love these people and there simple church buildings.
